The uncertainty of this global pandemic is creating opportunities for new ideas to emerge, and a new tradition has begun at Roskill South Kindergarten. We have created a magical Christmas light display and launched The Great Christmas Challenge. We invited all children and their whānau to visit kindergarten at night time, take a selfie or photo and post it in a community post on Storypark. There was also the option to dress up in a Christmas outfit or their favourite dress-up clothes.

We aimed to bring some Christmas magic into our children’s lives, and also for the children who have not returned yet, this was an opportunity for them to reconnect with kindergarten in a safe and fun way. Our whānau have made it a memorable adventure, and it is fabulous to see so many whānau embracing this Christmas Challenge!
