Ōmana Kindergarten is located in a friendly residential area of Papatoetoe, close to Papatoetoe Town Centre. Our quiet location means whānau always feel safe at drop off and pick up times.

Proud of who we are – Our kindergarten reflects the cultural identity of our children, the bicultural heritage of New Zealand and the evolving multicultural community of Papatoetoe. Children learn about different cultures, languages and people, growing their understanding through various cultural and language celebrations, experiences, stories and routines. At Ōmana Kindergarten children develop an awareness of themselves and are empowered to be proud of who they are and where they belong.

Amazing learning environment – Tamariki explore our huge outdoor area and garden that has many fruit trees, including peach, apple and lemon. Kaiako and tamariki work alongside each other in gardening, harvesting, caring for and appreciating Papatūānuku.

At meal times, tamariki are encouraged to eat the healthy food from their lunch box before they enjoy their treats. We enjoy picnics on bright sunny days and shelter on the veranda, when it is raining or the sun is too hot. Children are supervised at all meal times and food is warmed up if requested.
