Mangawhai Kindergarten had the wonderful experience of participating in the “Magical Mangawhai Goes Bush” community art project. Organised by the Mangawhai Artists collective, the project aimed to bring our community together through a collaborative art exhibition.
The Mangawhai Artists Gallery was open as a studio for two weeks, for people to come along and get creative. The children had a great time painting rocks, banners, branches and logs.
From May 5, the gallery was transformed into an exhibition called “One Moonlit Night,” to display the work of the community, including that created by our kindergarten children.
What a magical experience this was for our children, to feel a sense of belonging and contribution to their local community.
