KiNZ Mission Heights is a purpose-built spacious early learning centre with respectful teaching and an amazing learning environment. Our teachers encourage creativity, critical thinking and problem solving through hands-on active experiences to set foundations for a lifelong love of learning.

We have a lovely home-like learning space with a professional team who are multilingual, supportive and passionate. We celebrate and value our diverse cultural community through our daily curriculum. We’re big on learning about and caring for the world around us and as a Green-Gold Enviroschool, we focus on the guardianship of the environment and also create open ended play experiences. Specialist care – Our kaiako are skilled in implementing the Incredible Years Teacher Programme which supports young children with self-regulation and their social, emotional and academic competence.

Our Centre Philosophy

At KiNZ Mission Heights we see children as confident and competent learners and we support them to build their strengths and interests. We respect the cultural diversity of families and families aspirations for their children. Teachers observe and extend children’s strengths and interests by creating experiences and providing open ended resources where children can try out their ideas, pursue their working theories and develop dispositions for learning. Teachers appreciate that both the indoor and outdoor environments provide valuable learning opportunities.
