“My identity and culture is who I am.”  

Some of our children / tamariki came along dressed up for this special Diwali New Year festival as did two of our teachers.  At our ‘mat time’ we talked a little about different cultures, listened to some Indian music and even tried some dancing, many thanks to Kaiako Sarah.  During the day, we tried some ephemeral art with flowers, ‘henna’ hand patterns and ‘rangoli’ patterns.  We talked about colours, shapes and had fun doing this.
