At Lynfield Kindergarten we wanted to include tamariki that weren’t attending kindergarten at this time. We knew before the holidays that tamariki and whānau engagement with Storypark had dropped off a bit due to the length of this rāhui. We wanted to let tamariki know we were thinking about them. We decided to make up little craft packs with items that would be used if we had everyone back at kindergarten. These packs were very well received and they generated a lot of happiness and discussion on Storypark. We had so much more engagement! Tamariki sent us photos and videos saying thanks and showing us what they had made from the items supplied.

Kaiako and support staff enjoyed engaging with tamariki on Storypark with what they had made and what they wanted to tell us about it. One of our tamariki made us a thank you card that they delivered to our letterbox!
