Kauri Park Kindergarten Colour Run

The Kauri Park Kindergarten Colour Run was held on Friday the 16th of March between 5-7pm on the neighbouring school field at Kauri Park School.

Our inaugural Colour Run event was held last year and was a huge success, hence why we decided to run the event again this year. Given the great turn out, positive feedback and enormous amount of fun had by the children and families, we are planning another run next year!

We are very grateful to local businesses who supported the event – The Warehouse Birkenhead, New World Birkenhead, Brinks Chickens, Sal’s Pizza, Hare Krishna Temple Riverhead, Hutchinsons, Colour Kids, Bridgeway and Bernie’s who supported us to provide KPK printed t-shirts, paint, food, drinks, grocery hampers, movie tickets, etc.

Dry colour run powder paint can be purchased from local Indian grocery stores particularly around the Holi festival however, it can be expensive. So this year we also experimented and made some of our own paint using corn flour and dye.
