Recently our Tui Transition to School Group at Northcote Central Kindergarten visited our local Zero Waste Hub at the Northcote Shopping Centre. Children had the opportunity to support our learning around recycling. Robyn taught us how to reduce landfill by recycling old batteries, polystyrene, old mobile phones, tablets, ink cartridges, toothpaste tubes and toothbrushes.

At Northcote Central Kindergarten, we encourage our tamariki to kōrero and share ideas with whānau and friends. This helps us to deepen our understandings around sustainability and kaitiakitanga.
