Henderson Kindergarten recently took part in the National ShakeOut – National Earthquake Drill which was held on the 19th of October at 9.25 am. We were the winner of the ShakeOut competition in the Early Childhood Centre category.

Rebecca Long, Senior Education and Youth Advisor Auckland Emergency Management | Takonga Mate Ohotata o Tāmaki Makaurau came to the Kindergarten  to present the prize in person.

By taking part in the ShakeOut the children have learnt what they need to do when there is an earthquake. They learnt what DROP, COVER and HOLD means
