Nau mai haere mai ki Lincoln North Kindergarten

Lincoln North has served our community for over 50 years and has seen generations of whānau come through the whare. Let us express why our team continues to bring their smiles here:

Here for you – We're here for all whānau and work together to support you and your aspirations for your child. We are inclusive and welcoming, acknowledging that each individual learner learns in their own way, space and time. We encourage whānau to stay and be a part of our day, this helps the tamariki to settle and whānau to see how the days are run.

Let's explore – We believe that all tamariki are curious learners and are trying to make sense of their world, our role is to create a space that allows them to do that. Whether it's exploring their senses, discovering new ideas or learning new skills, we encourage tamariki to try new activities and experiences as they support the develop and growth of all tamariki .

A place for everyone – We whakamana all cultures and try to celebrate, learn and share experiences that embrace the many cultures within our local community. We love to celebrate the cultural events of our tamariki, enjoying events such as Pacific language weeks, Diwali and Matariki. These events are a great way for whānau to get involved in kindy life, have fun and show support for each other.

Learning outdoors – Our outdoor area allows tamariki to actively explore, build relationships while understanding the world around them. The environment has plenty of room for adventure and quiet times. The tamariki love to explore down in the bush area, while others challenge themselves on the bikes and swings. This is a place where tamariki learn to master physical skills such as balance and coordination. The sandpit has the tamariki creating, problem solving, turn taking while working with and alongside their friends.

Ready for school – We have a strong relationship with Pomaria Primary and most of the tamariki move on to this kura. We guide whānau on the steps to enrol into kura. We believe this sets tamariki up for success and helps the whānau to get ready for their next learning journey.

We welcome you to come and visit us, we'd love to meet you and show you all we have to offer.
