Orakei Kindergarten is part of the Rōpū Pourewa Kāhui Ako and this year they held a learning showcase at Ōrākei Bay Village, as part of our Matariki Rich Learning Opportunity week.

We were invited to create and share something as an opportunity for our ākonga to share their learning with the wider community and to see themselves as members of this community.

Orakei Kindergarten gathered with whanau to record their aspirations and together we weave these in the heart of our Te Whariki guiding principals creating a Kite.

This was displayed in Orakei Bay village for 4 weeks and is now proudly hanging in our Kindergarten.
