The team at Titirangi Kindergarten have shared how the last few weeks of the project went for them.

“We managed to get many of our seeds planted just before we went into lockdown. When we came out of Level 4, a few of our tamariki needed to comeback to kindergarten so it was a great opportunity to get our surviving saplings into our vege garden so they could grow.

Each week we have seen amazing growth with our tallest sunflower currently at 207cm and still growing. This is due to the love and care our tamariki have given them. We can’t wait to do our final measurements next week with so many of our sunflowers yet to bloom!”
