Colwill Kindergarten was so lucky to have the local Bunnings team visit our kindergarten to help improve our front garden. They worked so hard all day, removing the weeds and old scoria, planting new shrubs and covering new weed matting with bark.
The garden now looks absolutely beautiful. So many of our whānau complemented about the great job team Bunnings did and were surprised by what a big difference it makes to the whole aesthetic feel of the garden now. We absolutely love the dark coloured mulch as it really lifts the look of the entire garden.
We are looking forward to the new flowering shrubs growing bigger. It is sure to bring lots of joy and enjoyment to our tamariki, whānau and the community. We can see the excitement on the faces of our tamariki when they walk through the windy pathway, immersing themselves in the wonders of nature and becoming captivated by the feel, colours and fragrances from Mother nature.
A big thank you to Maddi and her team for bringing the magic back into this very special space that is loved by all. To say thank you, we baked some scones with jam and cream for morning tea and we made them a hand print card from all our tamariki.
