Our Aorere Kaitiaki team participated in the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board Moth Plant Competition to show their love and care for  Mother Earth. Our tamariki attended an online hui with their kaiako to learn about this pest plant. We also informed our whānau about the competition and how they can help.

The majority of our tamariki identified moth pods in their neighbourhood and informed their whānau. They shared their knowledge with whānau about how to remove the pods safely and brought the pods to kindergarten to count together.

With the great collaborative efforts of Aorere Kaitiaki team, we collected 2738 moth pods and came second place in the competition.
